Be a Successful Video BloggerThis entry was posted on Monday, July 8th, 2013 and is filed under Latest News.
We all know that the internet is a powerful tool, with the likes of Justin Beiber being discovered through YouTube and thousands of people making money simply from posting their opinions online. With a community of video bloggers growing from every corner of the globe, now is the perfect time to get involved and become an internet sensation. There are a few tips which will help you become a success when it comes to the blogging world.
Decide Your Specifics
So you’ve decide you want to start video blogging but you are not quite sure what about or how to start. Firstly have a clear idea what subject you are going to cover, whether it be crafts, comedy sketches or just videos about your life. Within just a few posts this could change direction completely but at least have a good idea when you start of where you want to go with it.
You then want to think about the platform on which you are going to blog. Are you going to be a YouTube blogger, or a Tumblr blogger who uploads text, pictures and video with each post? You can always branch out and have multiple platforms to create a mini network, but start simple with what you know and understand.
Do not be under the impression that to be a successful video blogger you need to have the most high-tech equipment on the market. Most bloggers start out with a web cam and a small microphone. However, if you can, do try to invest in a good quality microphone. Let’s be honest, if your viewers can’t hear what you’re saying then they aren’t going to hang around for long and the sound quality may actually put them off ever returning.
Editing your footage can be one of the most exciting parts of the process, adding in effects, cutting the video to create a smooth and sleek finish. But be careful not to over do it when it comes to the final product. It is very easy to get carried away and spend hours on end adding in everything you can think of in an attempt to make it look professional. The end result can actually come across tacky and amateur, far from what you originally hoped.
Remember the phrase ‘less is more’ and think sleek when you are playing around with your footage. Try to keep it clean and make sure it still has a flow or your viewers will simply become frustrated and confused.
Make it fun! Pick a topic that you are interested in and will want to blog about. Enjoy creating your blogs and releasing your creative juices as well as joining in with the huge blogging community. If you don’t enjoy it you won’t carry on with it for very long, so keep it fresh and try new things. Remember this is a hobby, so you’ll be giving up your free time and you don’t want to do that for something you don’t enjoy do you?
