Bambuser – stream anywhere

This entry was posted on Wednesday, August 10th, 2011 and is filed under Latest News.

Bambuser is a new piece of software that allows you to film something on your mobile or webcam and stream it live to your blog, website and favourite social networks, i.e. Facebook, direct to your wall for all your friends to watch.

Bambuser is available on 260 different mobile phone models, which means it is available for a lot of people to get out there filming and streaming it live.

This is a big step in the web video world. People have been filming their videos and uploading them onto YouTube for ages now, but what if you could stream live to your viewers from your blog, website or to your friends on Facebook?

This is great, I remember earlier in the year when there were students protesting about fees down in London, and some of my friends went down and filmed it, but when they had the footage they then had to bring it home, put it on their computer and then upload it onto YouTube, which takes lots of time.

If they had Bambuser on their mobile they could have filmed it and streamed it live for people to watch – which would have been pretty damn epic.

But obviously the software wasn’t available then so they couldn’t, but this just means now will there be a rush of people filming things live and streaming them to their friends and viewers out there in the world for all to see.

There is other software out there too, offering the same kind of thing as Bambuser. Qik and also Ustream, which are both pretty cool. Check out the video that shows you how Qik works, it’s good!

This is a big step in the web video world and I look forward to seeing where it takes us.
